How to install the Warmup® Foil Heater system
(refer to installation manual above for complete instructions)
The foil heating mats are available in several convenient sizes but it is recommended to use larger mats as much as possible and smaller mats as gap fillers. Permanent or static fixtures should be excluded with ideally 80% of the floor area covered.
The mat (foil casing) can be cut and turned to suit the shape of the room, however the wire MUST NEVER BE CUT The aluminium foil tape can then be used to secure the mat once its been re-positioned, securing any exposed wire.
When laying the mat a gap of 50mm should be left from the wall edge and a gap of 10mm between mats. The mats should be stretched and secured using the aluminium tape provided. The mats electrical supply cables should be placed towards the junction box, ensuring that they DO NOT CROSS each other.
Please Note: All electrical connections MUST be performed by a certified electrician.
A groove should be created in the subfloor in order to accommodate for the floor probe. The probe must NEVER touch or be crossed by the heating element.
